What Is LATISSE?

At Heart of America Eye Care, we want you to have excellent eye health and look and feel your best. We know some people are unhappy with the look of their eyelashes, which is why we're proud to offer a nonsurgical and noninvasive way to enhance the look of your eyelashes without using false lashes or performing eyelash transplant surgery. LATISSE is a topical medication used to enhance your eyelashes. If your eyelashes are thin or short, this can help lengthen or improve the color or fullness of your lashes. Contact one of our locations in Shawnee Mission or Overland Park, KS, or Belton, MO to learn more.

How Does LATISSE Work?

After determining you're a good candidate for LATISSE, we'll give you a prescription and applicator. You'll apply the formula to the top lashes before bedtime, starting at the inside of your lashes and moving out. We'll go over application instructions in detail so you know what to expect when applying the treatment.

LATISSE FAQ

How long does it take to see results from LATISSE?
Results from LATISSE can typically be seen in as little as four weeks, with full results appearing after 16 weeks of consistent nightly use. The growth cycle of eyelashes is gradual, so changes appear progressively, with initial improvements in length followed by increases in thickness and darkness.

Can LATISSE be used on lower eyelashes as well?
LATISSE is approved for use on the upper eyelashes only. Applying it to the lower lashes can lead to an increased risk of side effects, such as unwanted hair growth or irritation in areas where the formula was not intended to be applied. If you have questions about application techniques, the specialists at Heart of America Eye Care can provide detailed guidance.

What should I do if I experience side effects from LATISSE?
If you experience any side effects, such as eye itching, redness, or irritation, it is important to contact Heart of America Eye Care immediately. Our healthcare professionals can assess your symptoms and provide advice on whether you should adjust your use of LATISSE or discontinue treatment. Safety is paramount, and our team is here to ensure you achieve your aesthetic goals without compromising your eye health.
