Meet Dr. Edwards

Dr. Brenda Edwards has been an optometrist for Heart of America Eye Care since 1990. She earned her optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, earning the Kenneth P. Martin Clinical Achievement Award and becoming a member of the Gold Key Honor Society for her academic performance and leadership skills. She completed her residency at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in 1989 and has been a Kansas resident ever since. Dr. Edwards treats glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, and a range of eye diseases. Additionally, she serves as a principal investigator for studies involving the research of dry eye disease, glaucoma, and contact lenses.

Dr. Edwards’ main focus is primary eye care for adults and children, and she specializes in contact lenses.
